HOUND GROUP YAY. and I am done finally! I know I said I was going to do the FSS breeds, but I think that will have to wait a while. This really was quite a task. x.x;

if you love something enough, you'll want to get it right. :3 lots of photos for reference really really help. and I just love the differences and variety between the dog breeds, it's why I love to draw them. I believe with enough practice and will, anyone can draw anything. :3
(not to mention, well, I've been drawing dogs since I was 10, and I'm now almost 22. I've had a lot of practice. xD)

I just have to comment on the Otterhound specifically, since nobody really seems to have heard of them - it's gorgeous! Looks just like one, beautiful job on the shaggyish fur and the kinda of dazed look, almost still like a big friendly giant... you perfectly captured it. ^__^
All of the other ones look really beautiful, too - I should really comment on your stuff more - I absolutely LOVE your style, it's absolutely adorable, but also realistic and with such great attention to detail - it's awesome!

I swear I love Scottish Deerhounds after being able to see one in real life - there's a family that owns one that lives near my school and omg I hadn't realised how huge they were. o_o They're more shaggy than bristly looking, and they're clearly more slender than Irish Wolfhounds. <333

It was when they came to visit my other aunt and uncle who lived on a farm and Haywood got loose and killed some geese and a calf. I remember being sad but at the same time surprised that he could take down a calf. But he got a swift kick in the pants by the mama cow so he didn't go unpunished.

I don't think so. When I reference pictures it is never from one photo. I like to get in lots of different poses and angles and then make up my own pose and angle. It really helps you get a feel for the thing in three dimensions. :3
