Scotties really are unique dogs because they are terriers to the extreme. Each one of them has their own headstrong personality. You tell a scottie to sit and they ask "why?" or "where's the food?"

First off, I would just like to say that the shading on the Mini Bull Terrier is simply AMAZING. I'm like, in love-- I can't get over it.

yes, I was confused about that too so before I drew them I did some quick research. technically they are the same dog, but a lot of people consider the Amstaff to be primarily a show dog, and the Pitbull primarily a fighting dog. apparently this is a huge difference to the breed people. *shrugs* o.o

Hm...well, true, I think Amstaffs were recently admitted to the AKC, because before that I think that only Staffies were allowed to show. I could be wrong, though. So basically, the Amstaffs are generally purebreds, and pit bulls are usually mix-bred or something, like the American bull dog (Amstaff/English bull dog mix). Gah, confusing. >_<

American Staffordshire terrier and American pit bull terrier are classified as two separate breeds (AmStaff in AKC, APBT in UKC), but the APBT can be duel registered as the AmStaff in the UKC.

and American Staffordshire terriers are basically the same thing as American pit bull terriers; they can be duel registered under the AKC and the UKC. The only main diff. is that AKC breeders cringe at the thought of their wunderbar "staffies" being put in the same category as "pit bulls". o-o;
kind of like American GSD breeders think that German GSD's are somehow less... uhh... can't think of a word. xD;
