awww they're gawjus lol i used to own an Aussie and a Smooth Fox Terrier but they both ran away and i think our Aussie terrier got hit by a car and our smooth fox terrier returned but then we gave him up because he kept on escaping lol wonderful icons though

Aww thank you that means a whole lot. <33 yes yes draw dogs, but draw INTERESTING dogs! instead of the boring same recycled wolf/husky designs you see everywhere. I feel there are so many breeds that don't get enough love and even the spitz types should be interpreted in different ways. so if I can inspire somebody to draw a wider variety of dog breeds or animals in general then I am very happy!!

Terriers are definitely my favorite group of dogs! I own a Miniature Schnauzer/American Cocker Spaniel rescue, and he is the best dog I could ever ask for!

My friend has a Rat Terrier and she requested that I include it -- otherwise I wouldn't have, since they're not AKC registered. It's not a case of forgetting if people are just drawing AKC breeds.

i greatly appreciate that you put the Pit Bull in there. so many don't realize that the american pit bull terrier is an actual terrier ^_^ i own one and love her so much, i've been raised with the breed
and they are a breed, it's just the fact they aren't reconigzed by the AKC . but the UKC was made with the APBT in mind so they would be one of the oldest breeds registered by the UKC. They have breed standards and everything. and not all breeds are registered with all clubs, i don't think the amstaff is registered with UKC. i have a book on the APBT and who they are and aren't registered with. i;m pretty sure the breed can be traced back atleast 60 years. but anyways
very nice artwork ^_^ i like how you made the amstaff's ears cropped considering i think the akc standard for the breed is to crop the ears.

The APBT most certainly is a breed. =/
They're the second most popular breed with the UKC.
The AKC AmStaff is the APBT. The AKC opened their AST stud books twice to allow UKC registered APBTs to become AmStaffs. Once in 30's and once in the 70's.
APBTs and ASTs are all direct descendants from the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. There has been no cross-outs with the breeds; they're just bred to different standards.

The APBT is registered with the UKC, ADBA, NAPDR, NKC, CKC, APBR, APRI and ACR. I'm sure there are more, those are just off the top of my head.
The APBT has been an 'official' breed since they came over from Britain in the 1800's.
Just because some dog books don't list them, doesn't mean they aren't a breed.
And you can despise them as much as you want, just don't go spreading falsehoods please.
