i love the expression on the amstaff
i hate the cuts they put dogs like the dandie dinmont n the bedlington terriers. they looks so much cuter with out the wierd hair cuts. like have u seen a puppy bedlington b4 the give him the sheep cut?? theyr soo cute lol with their scruffy little afros n wutnot ^_^

ive thought of drawing every breed myself and got around to doing about 3 lol n then got lazy with it n 4got about it so thumbs up for actually finishing every akc rec. breed. many many props 2 u lol

I love the sheepcut. xD and I love the traditional poodle cuts and the traditional Dandie look. I love weird looking dogs because they are more fun to draw.

The Pomeranian is in the Toy Group, and this is the Terrier Group. Maybe you should read and think before you post comments. Sorry, but I don't appreciate people making 'jokes' of that nature unless they're my good friends.

Beautiful! I love terriers! The movie "best in show" was really funny (the origin of the song for those who don't know). I have a Welsh and my friend has a Rat (terrier). You have captured their spirit well

Well, my older dog, River, is super super sweet. She gets absolutely crazy over tennis balls. All she wants is a big hug (and maybe some cheese to go along with it). We think she may've been the runt of the litter since she's a lot smaller than she should be, but I just think she's fun-sized!
The younger, Terra, is much bigger than River, but doesn't seem to realize it. Terra is always wanting to do whatever River wants to do and gets really jealous when she doesn't get attention. Terra isn't too bright and doesn't watch where she's running so sometimes she runs head-first into stuff. But then she shakes it off and keeps playing.
Their coats are a pain to keep clean (since Terra loves wallowing in mud for some reason), but are super, super soft.

Not at all, I can certainly understand getting carried away talking about one's dogs! And I've not really heard a great deal about Wheatens, always interested to hear and learn more about the lesser-seen dog breeds.

I saw your hound icon group in the popular page and I just KNEW you had to have a terrier group somewhere.
I've never been the sort of person to just get a pure bred dog, I think that we should adopt dogs from the shelter..
Being as it is though, I bout a scottish terrier (and actually saved her from a puppy mill). The scottie on here is absolutly ADORABLE. It looks exactly like her!!

I think shelter dogs are a yes too, but I don't think that purebred dogs are the problem. Responsible breeders don't breed litters all the time and they always make sure that their puppies are homed. It is the backyard breeders and puppy mills that breed for profit and to sell a cute puppy that are the source of shelter dogs, not all purebred dog breeders. I can certainly understand fancying a certain breed -- I do that myself -- and wanting a dog of said breed that is well bred, will live longer and will be less likely to have health problems. I also think that the current 'designer dog' craze is far more harmful than responsible purebred dog breeding, because it is basically breeding what are essentially mixed breeds and calling them 'new' breeds, just to sell puppies. I find that far more abominable because if someone is going to get a mutt ANYWAY then they should just go to a shelter instead of forking over good money for a "doodleblargleblob".
that's my say on the subject. sorry, I know you didn't ask for it but I tend to give it when it isn't asked for. xD

I didn't mean to sound like pure breeds or breeders are the problem, and I'm sorry if I came off that way. I just find it sort of appalling when people will go out of their way to have a certain dog because of the way it looks (which, I'm sure you know people who do.) when there are dogs that have a better personality, but they're waisting away in cages. It's just appalling to me that some people just want their little arm candy rather then a real dog.
I suppose I'm complaining more about dog owners rather then the breeders.
On the other hand- I really do agree about the "new" breed..though I have to say I kind of fancy the cockapoos.
But, I already have a dog

I don't think you did really, I just don't think I need much of an opportunity to launch into a rant about backyard breeding. xD And I certainly agree with you on that point, anyone who goes out to get a dog just because IT R PRITTY and without proper research is getting a dog for all the wrong reasons. I don't want to say that shelter dogs automatically have a 'better personality' than 'little arm candy', though, I am of the opinion that any dog can be lovely if bred and trained well and placed in the right environment. All dogs are 'real dogs' to me. Rescue dogs may need more training and work, but I definitely think that the whole experience of giving something a new chance at a better life is worth all of that. Basically I think that the whole problem is all the people who are overbreeding, and they are overbreeding because they are breeding for quantity and not quality because all they want is to sell puppies to anyone who will buy them. And both 'little arm candy' and shelter dogs are the result of this.

Though when I say little arm candy I can't help but think of those poor Chihuahuas (sp?) that Paris Hilton totes around. I've heard that she's gotten in some trouble with animal activists for having like..a ton of them.

One thing though:
Space in-between Pit and Bull. And the breed is the American Pit Bull Terrier. Not one registry recognizes these bulldogs as just "Pit Bulls."

I'm glad you like it. The names were put there for my own reference - you will see that I use a lot of short forms - and so people would not post comments trying to guess the breeds. in short, I was not trying for accuracy and will not do anything further to it. Thank you for informing me, however.
