I missed the 1980, 81 and 82 air shows! Mom and Dad up and moved to Lakewood and that was a little to far for me to peddle! I would have loved to have seen this Plane!

It really is an awesome plane. There is still one that flies airshows in the UK.

This weekend the last remaining Vulcan capable of flight returned to public display at the Waddington Air show. So if you want to see one fly for real, and hear the legendary HOWL as her engines reach max thrust, get thee to a UK air show THIS SUMMER!

Nice picture, i literally live 5 minutes away from the last airworthy (ish) vulcan left. They've been doing it up for years, something about the avionics not being approved or something so they cant fly it. I remember it when it flew though, never heard anything that loud lol.

One of my favourite planes. I have very fond memories of seeing this fly at airshows when I was younger.

Nice and sleek, unlike the Harrier. I do believe there is one being restored across the pond; ran across some info on it in the general discussion over at Pacific Fighters if I remember right.

Aren't there a group of folks across the pond working on restoring one of these to flight? Very cool picture!

I sure hope so! What a spectacular sight to see this aircraft fly! I wish I could say this was air to air, but he made a nice pass in a bank and with Lake Erie in the background, well it made for a nice pic.

Yeah, that would be spectacular to see one fly again! It does look very much like air-to-air.

Well..
If you get to an airshow and see the all new "Vulcan Village" this season, there's a big blue bin for your loose change.
