Description Chaloner is an 0-4-0VBT built by De Winton and Co. of Caernarfon, Wales, in 1877. It was built for the Pen-y-Bryn slate quarry, then sold to the Pen-yr-Orsedd quarry in 1888. It was purchased for preservation by A. Fisher in the 1960s for just 25 Pounds and normally lives at the Leighton Buzzard Railway in Bedfordshire, though it has appeared on the Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Railways on multiple occasions. It can be seen here with or without a cab.
