Description
The very same people who cry out for my company are the ones who told me that being alone is "healthy" and the only real way to find out who I "really" am and find out what makes me "happy".I've known myself well enough to realize that I never "needed" to be alone to find out what made me happy. Love makes me happy. Friendships. Being part of someone's goals and dreams... Not being locked up and isolated in my own home, pondering on where my fucking life is headed. As a matter of fact, all that being alone ever did for me was host an environment in which my darkest fears could become real. That can't be "how it works." When others told me to spend time alone, I don't think they knew what alone really meant. Even when the loners I know spend weeks incarcerated away from people, they're still scrolling through social networks... It's a simple concept and it isn't about weakness or immaturity or being clingy; it's about the fact that people will always need people. I need people. I need you.
So to those of you who pushed others and ME away, I say to you: Don't be so fucking selfish. The last thing we need is another self-centered generation boasting about their pseudo-independence and false sense of self-reliance, who won't think twice to leave their friends and loved ones behind to fight their battles out by themselves. It kills me to write this, because I've been there and you should know those battles are sometimes lost without the proper help.
Keep doing so, and you will lose everyone who cares about you and just may get what you wish for - True loneliness.
Now you see where "alone" got me and I hope you're happy with the result.

I love the deep emotion in this new series that you are doing. Is this for a new book?

Thank you ^-^ I suppose in a way, it's practice for the style that the new book will be taking on. For everything else, it's a way of getting my end of the message across to all the big mouths who decided on saying all the wrong things at the wrong time.

This drawing... it's my new favorite from you. I love everything about it. I love the layout, I love the different line values, I love the concept. It's my cup of tea in every way.
As for the words…yes to all the bolded things, and well, pretty much the rest of it.
There's one Aristotle quote that stuck with me since elementary school, and it's something we've repeated countless times in a few different classes: „Man is by nature a social animal.“
We all enjoy socializing to different degrees, some of us thrive on constant contact with others, while some prefer to space it out and enjoy our time alone as well.
A nice balance between the two is the way to go, but complete isolation is never a good thing. If you think you need to figure things out, sometimes the best thing is to distance yourself from people and other distractions for a while, but at the end of the day you will need others, no matter who you are. It might be easier to put things in perspective when you’re alone, but I guarantee you, you will turn to other people for advice, and you will look for someone to share experiences with. That is how it works.
