Playing with some colour ideas for an original character, called Zian Vahin, for my personal project 'Affinity' that I'm doing with my buddy bobmeatbag. ΒThe character design has already been confirmed but it's cool if you guys wanna comment on which one you like. Β

It is a comic or something, but we're still in the super early phases, so probably won't be anything concrete to show for a number of years. Β

just found a really good free anatomy program that you can use on your browserΒ www.zygotebody.com/ you can strip away muscle and it tells you what they are!Β

I would choose 3 and 4. (I didn't choose 1 and 2 sorry because I feel that the tone of the skin is too purplish?, otherwise the coloring of the clothing is great).
But hey that is just my opinion and I could be completely wrong, so feel free to please correct me

Hehe, actually the purplish tint it on purpose, because in my story there are people with more purplish skin. Β I have characters much more purple than this though, I hope to show some of the other characters soon.

(And don't push yourself down in thinking that you are not as great in terms of art because you really are good! (Yeah you probably heard this from everyone... lols))
If you don't mind me asking...
How do you draw a person in terms of you are the camera and are looking down on a personΒ (Full body like legs and arms)Β or vice versa (looking up at the person) because I find its easy to draw people in standing positions or such, but looks terrible when I am drawing as I mentioned above.
Hmm if you don't understand what I mean, maybe we can Skype and I could explain it? (Though that will probably not work lol).

Try using a mirror. Β It's not easy though, usually takes quite a lot of drawing before you can understand form enough to pull off these easily.

Yeah! forms are a bit of a... well you know... (If you don't know then it starts with B, but I would guess as much that you would know what I was about to say 
The mirror technique would feel rather bit awkward, what I have been trying to do is draw models from digital reference and may keep this up as becoming great at art/anything will most of the times take very long to achieve like as in years and years and years and oh gosh, haha.
Anyways I don't want to bother you anymore as I can imagine you have tons of things to do such as replying to lots of people haha.

lol, yeah, the belt buckle is sort of still a placeholder. Β The design isn't 100% final... Β Maybe 80-90%.

well, its because he has a lot of aggressive edges on his clothing, sooo.... he needs an aggressive color
(and it's kind of stereotype,every badass looking kid in comics, wears red clothes)

The one with the red hair is my favourite, the colours are working very well on that one. I really like the design of the shoes among else.
