Description
These are the very few 'original' avatars I've made for myself (for MSN). Unforunately, the majority of my avatars, including some of the best, feature material that isn't entirely mine. Therefore it cannot be published on Deviant Art, which is perfectly understandable.

This little compilation took about ten minutes. The drawings in the background are sketches I've taken during lecture that aren't good enough to post individually. The avatars are all done after midnight out of sheer boredom and are also not good enough to post individually. A 29-cent ballpoint pen and Photoshop are responsible for all you see here.

Here's a quick explanation of each of them, refer to the number key.

1. That's my little, "MSN is taking over my life" picture. As you can see by the MSN logo rising in the horizon and the MSN butterfly breaking out of my head. All Photoshop.
2. Me after being "Mystiquified" using Photoshop. Simple colour adjustments for the hair and body, and then air-brushing for the markings.
3. I don't know much about why I did that one. It's sort of comic-book looking. I started just messing around, and when I noticed the comic-like look of it I just drew the border around it. Photoshop.
4. A little Picasso style self-portrait a la airbrush avec Photoshop.
5. This one was a simple filter job with Photoshop of a friend of mine and I. I added the text (Pure funk) for no particular reason and then drew the divider line to fill in the space. I thought it came out cool. I'm on the right, on the left is a friend of mine.
6. This is another one from my "MSN rules my life" series. Those little things are evil flying emoticons launching an assault on my head. Photoshop.
7. A headshot, I drew some puzzle pieces over it, cut it out, made them transparent and put a sky background behind it because I had to put something back there. Photoshop.
8. That's EmotiWiz, or me in emoticon form. I guess another "MSN rules my life" job. Airbrush in Photoshop.
9. I went through a phase where I was trying cartooning for the first time. I discovered it was a lot easier than expected and began rendering all of my friends as cartoons. I got as far as two before I got bored. I threw in the M4tr0x theme because... well... I could.
