Another angle of the ISD2, showing a little more of the hull shape and such.

It took me a long time, but here it finally is. A scale model ISD2, to go with the rest of my microscale fleet. Every angle is as close as I could possibly make it, every shape in the closest detail I could manage. A few details I'm not entirely happy with, specifically the shield generators on the top and bottom. Lego never has been very good with round shapes.. To make it to scale, I knew I had to have it exactly 47 studs long, but the 1:3 angles of those plates don't quite match up with the actual measurements. The result is that this model is a couple of studs wider than it should be. Sometimes you just have to say close enough, and accept it. Also the angles of the plates of the main hull made it so that a set of clips could connect at two plates higher, which was perfect for making it sturdy. It also meant though, that for like six plates above that, just nothing fit at all, so that superstructure was ridiculously full of holes I had to MacGuyver ways to fill in. Could have been worse.

It was primarily the Lego Star Destroyer #75055 that made this possible. All the grey wing plates, grey structural parts, grey detailing parts, and grey grey parts, and other grey stuff. Without that, there's no way this would have been possible at all.

I looked on DeviantArt to see if anyone else had tried making a star destroyer at anywhere close to this scale, and.. well, the answer was no. There were some things that didn't look a thing like a star destroyer, and of course that awesomely impossibly huge one. I figured it was time to have one that was actually star destroyer shaped, and was not outrageously huge.
