(Commission for a Horse s.i.m)It has truly been years since I have drawn an equine. Believe it or not, they used to be my main subjects for several years in my earlier art. More or less this proves that I'm rusty but nevertheless capable of drawing a passible horse
This is actually an altered version of the original. I decided to make the submission "antiqued" for a change of pace. The orginal is due to air sometime on [link] ,an online horse game. 'A nice image to kick off the Christmas season.

Thats so brilliant. The anatomy is wonderful, i really do like the legs and hoofs because i know how hard they are to draw. The shading on the body is amazing and as well on the mane and tail with all the highlights. Even the background is awesome. Beautifully done

Very true, a very nice image to kick off the Christmas season. Your horse anatomy is quite amazing, truly it is. I love her main..and the pose is lovely. The background gives it a nice winter touch, too.

I used to draw horses alot too. x3. I wish that when I started drawing them again, they improved to half as awesome as this one. Fantastic anatomy and expression. I really like the shading on the mane, and the background is certainly worth mentioning. -favs-

The tail and mane look good, too :3 They look like they're cartoon, yet they sorta look realistic in a way x3 Cartoon realism. Heh. XD
I definately have to fave this, because i've sort of gotton into horses more lately, and i've been sketching a lot of them, because i'm helping out with art on a horse sim ;D

I always use refs for horses, because I haven't drawn them for many years, and i'm a bit rusty on the anatomy x3 I'm getting betetr, though! ^__^ I never use refs for wolves though, because I don't intend for them to look realistic, or have 100% perfect anatomy. I draw more.. uh... style-ised wolves, although, if and when I do realism, I use a ref ;D

I so envy you, no really, I do.
I mean, where do I even begin to start? The mane and the tail look like you could really reach out and touch and them and the background... it fits so well and the character actually looks like he is IN it rather then just PUT into it (if that made any sense?)

That right there is what took the looongest @_@ It's easy to color a character and then but together a background but making the two work with each other probably took me 2 hours more to get ir just right . So thank you for taking notice!
