PE: Presentation mattersPresentation mattersIt's not just the artwork that tells you something about it's creator - on the internet, the way you present it is at least equally as important. Your painting can be a masterpiece, hanged in a local gallery, but as long as you post a blurry, badly cropped picture named "1564873" along with "..." in an artist's description, nobody will ever bother visiting your gallery. Creating a nice, representative profile page and setting a certain visual quality standard takes extra time and effort, but if you really care for your work (even if it's just a hobby), you should treat it with some respect.

FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO PUT AN IMAGE ON BUT THE IMAGE DISPLAYS BEHIND THE BACKGROUND SO YOU CANT SEE IT:
Upload your images (both background and other image) to your STASH and copy the IMAGE LOCATION (right click, click 'view image', then right click again and click 'copy image location')! Online uploaders like tiny pic and photobucket tend to wreak havoc.
If you want your image to display ABOVE the inner box, MAKE SURE that your image code ( ) is BETWEEN the background code and the code for the inner box. If it is above all the other code, the whole thing will spaz. If you want your image to be WITHIN the inner box (not above it like in the example), simply add the image code at any point in between the two
tags for the inner box. Placing the image code after the last div tag will result in your image being underneath the inner box rather than in it.
Sorry for all the yelling, but I was having trouble with this for days, I hope this can help someone else!

Hi there,
I got the image above the box working fine, but on my page, for some reason all the flags and social media buttons at the bottom and the separating lines have disappeared.
Try this on yours, see if the image works out okay for you (I believe your problem was you weren't using the 'floaty boat' background code, meaning it wasn't acting quite properly as a background. Also, I'm afraid I can't align the image straight. Putting it in normally makes it too far left, and aligning it centrally (which is what I've left it as) puts it a little right from the center. ) Hope this helps!

Is it possible to make the image bigger?

I don't think so. I know you can make deviation thumbnails bigger (I believe Cyphervisor has a 'tips and tricks' tutorial which covers that and some other cool stuff like buttons), but I couldn't seem to change the image width when I attempted it. In any case, it makes sense that the image wouldn't be able to be wider than the width of the custom box itself.

Hello! I saw earlier in the comments you helped someone with the same problem I'm having. I'm trying to put an image above my content holder box on my profile, but a blank space pops up with no image. I can't for the life of me find a straight answer here on deviantart. Could you give me a hand? c: I did the same thing as the previous person did (Tea-Queen ) in my coding. Background code, image code then the content box holder code. If that makes any sense!? lol
