Description A NATO Type B destroyer performs an escape burn to clear orbit of Gamma Leporis 4.  A NATO-aligned civilian colony-world just 29 light years from Earth and right in the middle of the west's expansion vector, the planet had never seen conflict.  Despite this, CENTCOM still orders regular patrols of the system, ostensibly to keep it free of conflict.

What is the purpose of the upper 'wings'?

They're heat radiating vanes.

Easy targets for a torpedo attack.  Or do they use torpedoes?

This is a glorious spin on concept -  it is still sinister but your feel makes it look like it has character.

This is great work

Love the backstory too

God damn NATO, with it's gigantic, fearsome destroyer fleet. XD I dig how it feels futuristic but still has a foot in reality. : 3

I love the bunny-ship

Really well done lighting, the background is simply amazing. The details on the ship blend nicely and there's enough stuff to catch eye for longer. It kinda lacks the septic look of space, certain crispiness that all the nooks and crannies receive with single, strong source of light nearby. Not that I know how to achieve it, just food for thoughts.

Yesss, about time I got a viable image of the bunnyship!  As for the lighting, I truly have no idea what I'm doing.  XD

Nice destroyer class ship you created. The hull plating must've been a nightmare to pull off. Nicely done!

Thanks!  I tried like four or five different methods, from randomly generated noise-based plating detail to a few different ways of doing it by hand.  The trick was defining rules for the size and orientation of the plates!  After I figured that out it was tedious as hell but I managed to pull it off by hand.

This is truly lovely, the design and colors, the shading, it's all so lovely. If you would have peace, prepare for war!

Thank you!  I've been wanting to show a proper NATO spacecraft for ages.  Until now we'd only seen their trans-atmospheric vehicles.  The B Type design process was a slow burn, went through several iterations before arriving here.  I think it was worth it!  And CENTCOM would seem to agree with that proverb!

It's a wonderful design, watching you and Daemoria work inspires and intimidates me! I like 'pure' spacecraft designs. Some things were never meant to see the bottom of a gravity well.

The US Military called. They want their stealth bomber back. It is a very cool design regardless of who might send legal papers your way. xD Your sci-fi can be so pretty to look at.

Just tell them you found the schematics sitting on a table in the cafeteria. I'm sure they'll believe you.

Credit where it's due, really whipped this thing into shape once he got a hold of it!  The original design was nowhere near this quality.

Sexy and oh so reminiscent of a particular fave plane of mine.

I like the digitized pattern you've got on parts of this vessel be it intentional or not.  It's like it's trying to show off some soft of shielding capability.

The hull plating?  Been trying to figure out a way to do that forever.

Have you tried negotiating with Satan?  I've heard he's got an amazing 401(k) package.

Still I think it looks good.
