The USS Saipan joins Ambassador Class USS Ark Royal en route to Starbase 621.

Ark Royal had been en route to Sector 001 following the completion of a 5 year mission in deep space, beyond the Breen Confederacy, when she received a distress signal from the New Orleans class USS Saipan. Saipan had been running at warp 9 in pursuit of a Ferengi Marauder carrying their captive Operations Officer, and contacted Ark Royal to assist in an intercept. The task complete, the two vessels return to friendly territory for repair and rearm.
