Description

"The original name idea was Torvosapiens (Savage Thoughts), but that would have implied they were as intelligent as cavemen or something. Rimeraptors are one of the first creatures I ever designed and are currently one of my favourites. Probably because I was able to give them an original weapon: their extended shoulder blades. In this piece I wanted to show that even alien worlds can have familiar phenomenons, in this case the aurora borealis. To the right you can see how the Rimeraptor has evolved in my years with art. I'm not too sure what the herbivore herd is supposed to be. I am proud of how this piece turned out, but making the aurora borealis was very frustrating."
