Description
This is my version of my daughters O.C. Freakshow/Nathan.He is a lab created being.
His Dna is from several species. Including human, other mammal( Chiroptera), and reptile.
He sports a flexible Carapace and Plastron. Is albino, has crimson eyes, and 3 digits on hands, feet. His tail is long, flexible, movable-but not fully pre-hensile. He has poor eyesite, but refuses to wear glasses, or goggles! He is mostly nocturnal-because of his pigmentless skin, eyes, ect. He is gentle, nieve, and very shy.
Pencil, colored pencil, ink, a little acrylic white, and tweeked with Picasa.
I used reference from several of my anatomy books and by Steve Millers : FREAKS, a great and fun How to Book.

I love this Tarp. The work on the wings is awesome. So much detail. It seems maybe he should be thinner? Wing structures like that are usually for gliders. But I'm sure you've taken that into consideration.

He's my daughters o.c. She says that he has trouble flying, and esp. landing. Maybe he needs to go on a diet?

Thank you Anita! I am glad that you like his wings. I will warn you, I drew in some faint blood veins on his wings with red ball point pen. When I used some acrylic white that ball point smeared and turned his wings a cotton candy pink. I had to paint over them with white several times. And evedently, the 'black ink" in that Hybrid Techna pen isn't waterproof either-it smeared to and turned the wings...blue! That is the blue. No ball point-lol!

The wings are really awesome work! But I have a tip for you: Draw your bones where the wings begin as an arm. 'Cause your creature need strength to move the wings. And bones only can't move alone.

Take another look at Freakshows wings.
Where the wings join at Nathans back-that is modelled from a shoulder joint.
After that is an exaggerated humerus.
I do see a mistake in the foreshortening of his left wing-and accidently I inked out the Ulna.
I got some help with this from a great H
ow to book called:FREAKS and also used another book, titled-surprise...BATS for help with the wings. Take a look at a photo of a bats wings-they are not muscular-the muscles are not visible, they wing bones are thin, and the membrane-even with some Mega Bats can be almost transparent. The bones on Freakshow would be very visible since he is an albino.
So, this was not entirely drawn off the top of my head-with no anatomy ref. at all.
Also, since this is fantasy-why can't I take some liberties in his creation? That and the boss(his creator) was very happy with this! 
Daniela, don't get my reply wrong please! I enjoyed your reply. How often do you get to actually get a chance to discuss why you drew something the way that you did? Not very often-it is great to have a chance to do that?

I can't do that yet because I need more feedback from the co-founders and contributors of The Gungan Cafe.
We have two more things to decide upon before we even unviel the contest.
As soon as everything is ironed out, I will link the final ideas to all of the co-founders and contributors.
You, as a contributor still have plenty of time to think of some ideas that you'd like to try. Ruven needs time, and I haven't written down my thoughts ideas, nor has Cat. Only Anita has written her idea for a theme down.

Hi, The wind is blasting out of Hell here too. Hot and dry-we will be under a red flag warning, if we aren't already. It 'rained' a smidgen last night, it didn't even register in the rain guage. The grass is crispy underfoot. It is hard to believe that we had severe flooding a few months ago! (The White River is still flooded) now we want rain.

I love its/his face! Arms and legs are amazing too. Ok, whole "freak" is very good. You should projects monsters for computer games or movies

No, He is not usually very dangerous or agressive, unless he is seriously provoked-or if he is in danger.
My kid thought him up. He is her o.c.

i like the design though his wings don't seam to be muscular enough for him to actually manege flight though with the wing span gliding looks like a possibility. other than that the anatomy seams sound. I can see several creatures that come together to make one and yet maintain flow and believability. This is defiantly a keeper

As for the wings, if I were to try and draw wings that might actually support his weight-I think that they'd be enormous. Then again, Maybe he has hollow bones like a bird or bat?
I don't know, but it great fun to throw these ideas around in ones imagination.
I am glad that you like him, I am pretty happy with the way he turned out.
