I love you, I just started on Apophysis earlier today, and I found your tutorial, and with it i have managed to create a lovely shell like fractal, I'll do some post production stuff to it and upload it for the world to see
Thank you so much for this lovely tut, simple but so effective.

This was done in 2.05 I think... Just google Apophysis 2.05 and you'll get some results ;D

This was extremely helpful. I'm brand new to fractals and had been wondering how smoother type fractals were made (rather than having a ton of random dots, etc), and now I know! xD Also, my render with your settings only took about 16-18 minutes so that's not so bad.

If you mean your FD/Post Coloring tut, I'm still trying to make my way through that one. lol Maybe because I tried that one first initially it was a little harder. Maybe I should revisit it.

Yep. Its not as simple as the Lin/Sphericals

Not by far. As I'm playing with the triangles/fx, I can't get mine to even closely resemble yours. I can get the lines, but I fail at those little circles and keeping it clean. lol

You need to adjust your weights a lot. The bigger the triangle, the higher the weight needs to be to see it

So in theory, if the weights were right, and the flip discs were there, should each triangle come out as some sort of a circle (unless of course it's formed to a straight line)?

Sweet. It's coming along much better now. Thanks for the weight tip.

*cough* Nice, but please be sure and state what version of Apophysis you're using. I'm using the latest, but your editor window looked nothing like mine...

You're very welcome! I really appreciate people who do tutorials! I'm well enough versed with Apo that I can generally make a tut for any version work, but I'm not well enough versed with the computer to make a tut!
Hugs,
Anj
