Description
A semi original weapon I made for my imperial world.

The Maximoff M31 Multi-Laser belongs to the Astra Militarum regiments of Kray Mira and it's Planetary Defense Force.
It is a rapid-fire heavy Laser Weapon, ideal for destroying lightly-armoured vehicles or infantry formations. Due to its power requirements and weight, it is usually mounted on Imperial vehicles such as Chimeras or Sentinels, or platform-mounted, and in the Imperial Guard two-man teams are required to operate and carry around a single Multi-Laser. When operated by a Techmarine it is known as a Rapier Multi-Laser. While the standard Lascannon is a semi-automatic weapon (one squeeze of the trigger fires one shot), the Multi-Laser is fully automatic. Multiple reinforced barrels and enhanced phase capacitors allow for a standard laser discharge to be fired in a series of rapid bolts. While losing some of the penetrative power of a lascannon, the resulting high rate of fire improves the weapon's ability to engage a series of targets in rapid succession. Multi-lasers are highly effective against hordes of infantry or lightly-armored vehicles. This pattern has a standard rate of fire of about 900 RPM, and is mounted on a wheeled mount with a gun shield. In addition to the main infantry version, there are also aircraft-mounted and naval variants. Its high stopping power, reliability and rapid rate of fire make it ideally suited for attacking enemy vehicles and fortifications from long range, covering advancing troops, or strafing enemy-held positions.
It should be noted that this particular pattern uses the same basic frame as its Lascannon counterpart, and shares many of its internal components, allowing for the same weapon to be transformed into a Lascannon or Multi-Laser as needed and thus greatly increasing its tactical flexibility on the battlefield.
Though Kray Mira did not normally build or use this type of weapon, the formation of the Cicatrix Maledictum forced the planet to improve and expand its defensive capabilities in order to survive. Due to their loyalty and numerous contributions to the Indomitus Crusade, all of Kray Mira's subtle tech heresies were overlooked/allowed to continue by the Adeptus Mechanicus.

As with my previous post, it's kinda inspired on the Soviet Union and modern day Russia. Hope you like it!
