Description
The file size is pretty big! Sorry about that, but I just had so much to say!Download or full view please!
This is the step by step guide to how I coloured the piece “Love is Chaos, Beautiful...”
Anyway, here's PART 1. Dealing mainly with the nature of the pencils I use.
PART 2 will consist of the background and planning a composition.
Let me know what you think! Is it helpful at all?
if it is, please fave and comment! Thanks!

Prolly why I chose photography, I don't need much patiencem. Except for when I get an idea (i.e Love The Stomach) and then never get to do it...

Thanks for uploading these! These are great resources. I love Prismacolors, and I'd like to try your technique! I usually start light and then layer in the darker shades, so I probably end up wasting a lot of lead. But your colors and shading are always so beautiful and bright, and I'd love for my colors to turn out that soft! Thanks again.

I hope so! Though you might want to mention in the artist notes that full view won't actually get you the bigger file; they need to DL it. It might save you answering the same question over and over.

Thanks Elly.
I just write what I know and what I've found as big differences between the pencils. What will suit one artist, may not suit another however, so I have tried to include information about 3 different kinds of pencils. I hope it will help you a bit anyway!

Yeah, I was off and on for 2-3 hours on it, scanning in sections and stopping and starting my colouring. But it was a fun, "teachery" diversion!

My mind boggles at how detailed this is! How long did this take you in all to complete?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
tavington In reply to InkHyaena [2009-01-28 07:26:17 +0000 UTC]
A few hours easily, minimum. I was scanning bits at a time and taking my camera out for a few snaps too. I loved putting it all together though!
