Luvdisc is based on a fish that I can't remember that has a heart shape....but Alomomola is based on a Molamola one of the bigest fish in the world also known as moon fish....
Pachirisu is a simple squirrl...is based on the comon grey squirrl.....on the other hand we have an Emolga based on the flying squirrls thath only habits on asia....
Cacnea is a cactus also Maractus....but cacturn is a SCARECROW not a cactus...something weird.......................

I just hate it how there are so many PokΓ©mon that are too similar, as in same animal base and type. I know Fennekin and Vulpix are different types of foxes, but they're both foxes nonetheless and they are both fire types. Pansear and Chimchar are both flaming monkeys. It seems pretty redundant if you ask me. Then again, I like Fennekin, if only by sheer virtue of the fact that he's a fire type starter who does NOT evolve into a fighting type like Torchic, Chimchar, and Tepig do...Β

Well i agree with this, but think of it this way: In nature there are multiple types of animals from the same species i.e. an asian elephant/african elephant, black rhino/white rhino, bengal tiger/siberian tiger.

To be fair, there are more than just one type of cactus and squirrels in real life.

the only thing from this i think should be real is the luvdisc one
i really dont understand why poeple get so angry when there are two pokemon based on the same thing -.- it like with fenekin and vulpix!fennekin is a completaly diffrent kind of fox and in real life there are a ton of diffrent kind sof foxes and there are also a lot of diffrent cacti that could all be interpreted in a diffrent way
cacturne is based on a scarecrow and looks rather creepy while maractus is based on maracas on looks like thos beautiful cacti with the pink flowers
i mean i wouldn't be too upset if these two whould be in the same evolution family but i preffer them to be seperated pokemon
same goes for pachirisu and emolga^^ emolga doesn't even look like an evolution in my opinion
but i think Bouffalant should still be the evolution of tauros!! D:

Nah, stating your opinion's just fine, as long as your facts are correct!
To be honest, I pretty much regret putting Pachirisu/Emolga there myself, they don't exactly look like they're evolutions.
Maractus is pretty much of a stretch, but the thought of having two evolutionary PokΓ©mon lines based on something as specific as a cactus bothered me at first.
As for Luvdisc and Alomomola, I stand by it 100%.
Tauros and Bouffalant look very much alike, but like Emolga, I think people would disagree in that it doesn't look different enough to be an evolution (Like Pachirisu and Emolga).

I hope you don't stillΒ regret the Pachirisu/Emolga comparison.Β Admitedly there are differences, but not necessarily any more so then with some other species and what's more important is that the concept of a squirrel evolving into a flying-squirrel just works too well.Β I'd never thought of it before, but now that I have, I really wish GameFreak would have done this.Β Just like with Luvdisc/Alomomola could have been a great way to update an underpowered Pokemon.

and well in my opinion tauros and bouffalant just look like they belong together >.< just my opinion but i would have liked it if they gave bouffalant some diffrent colors to make it look less like its related to tauros

Well, the Pokemon company wanted to try to make a game with one generation of Pokemon ALONE...something that's not happened since Pokemon Yellow. Hence why they didn't bring-up these evolutions in particular.
I agree with you though, Tay. They should have let other generation Pokemon into the first Black/White games and thought about their evolutions in the first place.

well but phione and manaphy ARE actually related! phione hatches from and egg you get from a manaphy and when a phione is choosen to become the new prince of the sea it becomes a manaphy (thats at least how i understood it ='P)

Yeah, when I first saw Boufflant I thought: "Yay, we get a Luvdisc AND Tauros evolution?!" And then when Black and White was released, I was very disappointed.

I understand the first (I think people are a bit whiny about it, because you know, it's not like we have similar species in the real world or anything -_-). Don't quite get the third (Remember, Cacti are part of the inspiration, but they are also a Jack-o-Lantern and Scarecrow.). Hate that second one. (Seriously, I know there are odd evolutions that make no sense like...uh, Feebas to Milotic. Only one with pretty much no sense, and even then it is because they are counterparts to something. But a Tree Squirrel to a Flying Squirrel? And they look nothing alike other than the cheeks-a Pika-clone thing anyways- and both being rodents.) I've liked some of your other stuff, but this is disappointing.
