Scizor is slower than Scyther, and I think Slaking is slower than Vigoroth too. Just saying

yeah but comparing that to the idea your bringing up and you got something that will never work. i look over Bouffalant and Tauros all the time and i can most definitely say that the evolution wouldn't work. not only is Bouffalant one of the slowest normal types, but it has no moves that would allow it priority which makes it way different from the case of Scizor. also, may i not that Bouffalant does not have very good ways of being used in competitive battles? heck if your gonna be bad in stats or move pool you should at least have a good strategy for being used in battle. Even Sableye, Despite low stats, is more useful in battle then Bouffalant because of the near infinate amount of strategies you can use for him.

Meh, you do have a point about that now that you mention it. But just because it can't learn priority moves doesn't mean it can't make up for its poor speed

i never said priority moves were the only problem. like i said, there just isn't a strategy out there that could seem to make this pokemon useful enough for battle

but your talking about a potential evolution yaknow, if it was supposed to be an evolution then the evolution would obviously come with more strategy and personally i think bouffalant is a tauros rip-off

originally luvdisc was to evolve or so they thought. but of course they had to do the crappy thing of "no old gens in unova" you know i knew an ignorant idiot who thought getting the old gens at the end of BW was cheating, constantly saying "you can't get pokemon from other reigons" whenever he saw me. i seriously wanyted to smack him... ok im getting off topic.

the luvdisc thing just wasn't ment to be i guess. also, take note that Luvdisc and Alomomola are actually based off 2 different things.
Luvdisc = heart fish
Alomomola = Sun Fish

still we've had eggs turn into palm trees, fish go into octopus, pigs turn into whooly mammoths. and other wierd evolutions, this one was a clear idea that coulda been established. and its an ocean fish like luvdisc so it could travel away!

well think about all the previous gens and how their separate from 5th gen. ever notice that all the other gens are the ones that have stuff that could be considered make believe while 5th gen seems to have evolved to the point where pokemon are supposed to have a connection to the environment like earth? personally, the pokemon of 5th gen are fine the way they are :\ they don't need the kind of bullshit that some people are giving them. there are a lot of people saying that 5th gen made pokemon non-creative when there's one pokemon in 5th gen who took more creativity to make then 1 whole generation of pokemon. this pokemon i am talking about is Volcarona

yeah that is true, but are you even sure what Groudon and Kyogre are based off of? it is what each pokemon is based off of, when compairing them to our world, that makes them possible to live

they're based off jewish legend, kyogre off the leviathan, groudon based off the collosus, ad rayquaza based off the jewish sky spirt (its name is hard to pronounce)

Well, yeah, but Emolga doesn't even look like Pachirisu that much. Sure, it's an electric rodent, but it doesn't look like a developed Pachirisu, just another squirrel. Also, all the electric rodents have cheek pouches anyway.

I remember reading somewhere that the designers of the new Pokemon didn't want any new evolutions for current Pokemon in 5th gen.

People will complain about anything in video games, given half the chance. In fact, one reviewer complained that Skyward Sword did nothing to depart from the Zelda series' formula, then in the exact same review complained that the fights with Ghirahim departed too much from the series' formula.
