Oh the reason is rather easy you see he get the blame for the reboot (and while Sega do to not intervening and Archie do to the lost of his contract aren't guild free is he as the one that started to copyright characters that he really shouldn't own is the one that earns the biggest blame) and the reboot despite being rather good had to fight with 2 big issues
A) that there keep the numbering with caused that many possible new readers that always wanted a more game based comic (like my self) didn't pic up the book (so whoever's decision it was to keep the numbering is also to blame for the failing of the book after the reboot) 
and
2) that the Reboot caused many of the older fans to lead the book simply because it isn't anymore the book that there loves when there were kids.

Like EternalKitsune said every party is guilty of something Sega for the mandate that they didn't fucking care about after issuing them, Archie not paying royalies for the reprints, Penders for suing Archie, Flynn for being salty I guess, and the fans that are battling over whether the comics should be more like the games or it's own thing.

If they want someone to blame they should be blaming Scott Fulop, not Ken Penders, cuz Fulop is the one currently suing Archie.

Me personally I feel like Fulop & Penders are in the right and Archie and Flynn are in the wrong.

But you know, fuck me for having an opinion cuz I know every Archie fan goes nuts with people who actually like penders

EternalKitsune  pretty much said what I was going to say. there are no innocent parties involved with the death of the comics everyone involved including us because of all our in fighting about anything had a part of eroding away at the comics. Archie kept messing around with the series and battling with the Sega overseers, Penders like EternalKitsune  said didn't have to sue and both him and Archie could have done the responsible adult thing and just negotiated with each other, The fans like I said can't agree on fucking nothing and this isn't jsut in the comics obviously Sonic fans are always fighting about something, and Sega well they just didn't care at the end as they didn't want to help when the kids were fighting in the sandbox about who's toys belonged to who and it was inevitable they don't care to help save the comics now.

There are no angels in this scenario. Sega didn't have to put mandates, Archie didn't have to beat the series around, Bumbleking didn't have to be bossy about his shit ideas, Penders didn't have to sue, the fans don't have to be so vocal. I've been waiting forever and ever for Sonic to become something else, but it just refuses to happen, doesn't it? It's as if the System Force from Oh My Goddess has it out for the Sonic IP...

I'll be honest while I miss the characters that were lost to the lawsuit, I don't think the post-reboot bad.

The only way the comics would be bad in my eyes if everyone but Sonic just sat on their asses and just gushed on how awesome Sonic is.
