when I use the skirt plugin the skirt gets very stiff and her legs go through itΒ
any idea what I'm doing wrong?
the skirt knows the legs are moving through it but it only slightly moves

Tehrainbowllama In reply to Madison15711 [2015-02-09 04:01:27 +0000 UTC]

Are there any physics on the legs? If so, then have you applied the joint settings (steps 5-6) on the skirt physics during the process?

Madison15711 In reply to Tehrainbowllama [2015-02-09 06:10:08 +0000 UTC]

yes i have and i even redid it several times to make sure and got the same result every time

Hmm... if it's not a leg physic or a process problem, I'm not too sure about what it could be, then. ):
Here's a tutorial I found on your issue: .Β  I'm not sure if it would pertain to the exact root of your problem, though.

Are you sure that the static leg physics are large enough to keep skirt physics from going through?
Could it possibly be that the skirt has a small amount of physics? Sadly, these are the last things I can think of. ):

what he mean i think, the skirt ph is too small and you need to make the leg ph bigger so it wont go through

Hi !
I testedΒ Weight Transfer Plugin but it's doesn't work.
When I upload the text file (first option), a error messageΒ appear ><

I use PMDE0139 (it's a PMX Editor, but the name is PMDE, and I can't use others versions, even with plugins >< )

Hello!
Sadly, I don't know what might be wrong, exactly. Is your model extremely high-poly?

when I try to add them they act all glitch and today when I tried it, the skirt was stiff

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Tehrainbowllama In reply to chibicookie602 [2015-01-19 00:13:08 +0000 UTC]

Did you either forget to select the skirt vertices or forget to set the physic attachment to the "lower body bone", by chance?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

chibicookie602 In reply to Tehrainbowllama [2015-01-19 00:19:58 +0000 UTC]

well the only thing I am confused about is that it looks like its already on the lower bone but im not sure if it really is :\ but I don't forget to select the vertecies

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Tehrainbowllama In reply to chibicookie602 [2015-01-19 00:50:32 +0000 UTC]

If you check the top row of skirt bones, they should list the "lower body bone" as its "parent-bone".
Although, it might be a lower body-bone physic issue. If there is no lower body physic present, then the skirt physics have no "parent-physic body" to attach to.

I had already figured out the Weight Transfer plug-in, but I was thinking if there's a way it can also rig bones? Like, for example, I save the bones structure from a model, and import the bones onto a new model. Is there a way I could use the plug-in to 'copy/paste' the old bones rigging onto the new model?
Sorry noob question.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Tehrainbowllama In reply to RoxRai [2015-01-10 17:06:48 +0000 UTC]

That's a good question. Sadly, I've never heard of any feature or plugin that can transfer the bones and rigging onto another model. I think that the plugin just transfers the weighting of the bones itself.Β  ):

the weight transfer plugin works awesomely! <3 but is there any way to delete weight from an object? i really need to remove a mistake i made, and painting it at 0 just balances that weight to another bone...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Tehrainbowllama In reply to kudaratan [2015-01-17 05:52:34 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! That's a great question. I'm not 100% sure. I think that by clicking the "W4" button on the rigging box in .Pmx editor and not changing any settings, if you highlight the desired vertices, then they will be weighted to 0.
