This is for =skulkey because he loves snakes!I don't know what kind of snake it is. All I remember is that it was in the African building.
Yes, the EXIF data date is wrong, but this picture was taken before I got advice on how to change it, I swear. :o

I never got to see the baby hippo!
Apparently they had some stingrays a few months ago, and you could pet them, but something happened and they all died mysteriously. :/
That was dumb that they let people touch them.
I was in B.C. staying with my mom at the time, so I missed out.

D; I want to pet them. But at the same time, I don't want to because I could have something that would hurt them, and I'm sure they get so damn irritated by all the touching. I bet somebody had some type of disease that got in the water or something... that sucks. I feel bad for the animals, though... constantly being tormented by annoying humans DX

I was wondering too if someone put something poisonous in the water intentionally.
I wouldn't have touched them. It just doesn't seem right to me.
I think a lot of the animals there are stressed because of the people. Perhaps most of them, if not all. But the trouble is that in order for the zoo to take care of the animals, it needs to let people in so they make money to feed everything. It's a non profit organization. Otherwise they aim for preservation and rehabilitation.
But aside from that it's good for education as well.

Yeah. It's sad, really. Maybe they should replace all the glass on the containers with one-way mirror-glass so the animals at least feel like they have some privacy.

I used to work at the zoo, so I don't like going there so much anymore. I've only been to the Calgary Tower once or twice when I was so young I could barely walk.

The Calgary Tower kinda scared me though, since I'm afraid of heights. I had to stay away from the windows

The mountains outside the city are nice, but I hate living here. The crime gets worse every year.
The Calgary Tower has a glass floor now, which is new, apparently. It's even scarier up there.
