So here I present some alternatives to conventional wings. Keep in mind that we are going to talk about more "fanciful" wings, so talking about anatomy or functionality strictly does not make much sense. The shape of these wings is purely aesthetic. Well let's go >:3
1. Mix of feathers and membranes. It is relatively common, and you can also combine membrane with hair (replacing what would be feathers in the drawing). Generally, the feathers are located in the upper part of the wing, covering and joining shoulder to wrist.
2. Butterfly wings. For the fairy dragons they are the best, and it gives them a very adorable and beautiful appearance, especially the more complex they are. You have to play with the number of articulated fingers and membrane to shape it.
3. Fins. For water dragons or for the flight to be more like flowing between currents, this shape works very well. The size is related to the number of fingers, but ideally they should be very wide, to give more contact surface with the air / water.
4. Type... insect? I really don't know how to define this type XD Well, in this case what is done is that the interdigital membrane does not join the fingers, but they are separated individually with the finger itself. Thus, they have an appearance like pilothouse feathers or dragonfly wings.
