Description
Based on a concept from Artyom Vlaskin, it's my first scene in Unreal Engine 4.All the assets are diffuse only. Textures are hand painted without using any bake ( no highpoly ).

Some great detail here, the hand painted textures came out great. What was your decision behind using only the diffuse textures in the scene, is that a common practice you've heard about for this style as its all you needed, or would you have liked to build the materials further?

I wanted to try something without normal maps and specular for once, just to see what I could do with only hand-painting skills. But this generally looks better with low-poly assets, stuff like in World of Warcraft and such. It would look better with a complete PBR shader rather than just the diffuse but at this time I didn't know how to do textures for PBR.
I needed an enviro peace for my portfolio for a job so I just went for the "quickest" way, as I didn't need any high-poly sculpting and baking and complex shader, etc.
