- Day 15: Free Space-

Launching at Mach 2, the ultimate weapon of D.A.K.A made its way to Dubai to stop the rampaging kaiju. Modelled after the kaiju that gave its life to save Earth, MechaOrcadire was a symbol of respect as well as proof that humans will always overcome. Landing near the beach, the robot fired its Electrochain Binds to restrain the mutant. The chains hit their mark, and the three Tengu Rail Cannons started charging up. Only one of the shots hit, but it ripped a clean hole through the shoulder. The mutant responded with a swipe of its tail, sending MechaOrcadire backwards and ripping the chains. Now in close combat, they fought evenly without either getting an advantage. The robot landed a swipe with its tail, stunning the mutant and knocking it down. Seeing their chance, the crew of MechaOrcadire decided to go for the finisher. As the Ion Annihilator charged, the mutant suddenly launched to its feet and narrowly avoided the devastating shot. Due to the unfinished nature of MechaOrcadire, the Ion Annihilator completely rebooted its systems. Now it was the mutant's turn to charge its ultimate move. But in the final second of charging, another beam coming from the ocean disrupted it, confusing both the kaiju and the crew. Like a vengeful specter, Orcadire rose from the sea and tackled the mutant to the ground. All the nuclear energy it had absorbed in China had mutated its body, increasing its powers tremendously. Another Ion Destroyer shot crippled the mutant kaiju, and both Orcadire and its mechanical counterpart began charging. The combined energy from both attacks completely vaporized the mutant, leaving only burn marks where it once stood. Project Kaiju Destroyer was a success, and with the powered up Orcadire by their side there was no way Earth would fall.

Since today was a free space I decided to go for the classic "mecha version of main kaiju" trope. Originally I wanted it to combine from 3 separate vehicles like Getter Robo, but I ran out of time and couldn't figure out how to make a clean combination. At least I managed to salvage some of the ideas, like the Super MechaGodzilla-esque Garuda cannons and jetpack.
