Energy coursed through his veins as his body violently mutated, growing larger and more powerful. Cooled by the surrounding water, he rested at the bottom of the ocean hoping for the agonizing mutations to end. Days passed. Then, as if woken up from a coma, he emerged changed. The water around him boiled from the radiating energy, and the air crackled with ions as he finally stepped out of the ocean. His body was in a constant state of nuclear meltdown, significantly boosting his powers but causing constant agony. It's only a matter of time before he reaches criticality and risks detonating with enough energy to cause a nuclear winter and widespread vaporization.
