Weeks passed before another portal opened, this time just north of Georgia. The giant's four arms flexed with anticipation as it prepared to... sit down and wait? Sitting with its back towards the city of Nalchik, it's as if it was waiting for a challenger to appear. It was a short flight for the MAKO2 from its Siberian home-base, so no jets nor military were deployed to stall. The giant stood up to face its challenger eye-to-eye, and its mouth twisted into a grisly smile. Its arms were crossed as it stood there, stalwart like a statue, waiting for the MAKO2 to make the first move. Sensing a trap, the team fired the Tengu cannons.
One of the shots landed in a shoulder, but the giant only let out a look of disapproval. Nevertheless, now that the MAKO2 had attacked first, the giant allowed itself to fight back. It lunged at the MAKO2, but its lunge fell short. The MAKO2 immediately went for a counter-offensive, but was surprised when the giant leapt from a lying position into a flying lariat. The strike knocked the MAKO2 to the ground, and before it could stand up the kaiju performed a body press. Down but not out, the MAKO2 tossed the kaiju to the side and swiped it mid-air with its tail. It was quick to recover and went for another lariat. This time the crew of the MAKO2 were prepared and dodged, quickly responding with an uppercut with the drill. The MAKO2 got the kaiju in a neck lock, and with seconds away from snapping the neck the kaiju did something unheard of...

It surrender. Using one of its free arms it tapped the ground as to tag out, and upon realizing this the MAKO2 loosened its grip. The kaiju broke free, but proceeded to kneel down in defeat. Unsure what to do, D.A.K.A held an emergency meeting. It seemingly held no ill will, but could they trust it? Their meeting had to be cut short however, as another portal had just opened.
