Description
The MAKO3 would reach the bat kaiju in about 2 hours by intercepting its path. The kaiju was too fast even for the MAKO3 when it was fully combined, but just sending the jet unit would be too risky. They finally clashed above Nebraska, the MAKO3 welcoming the bat with a couple of Tengu cannon shots through the wing membranes. It responded with a beam of hypersonic sound capable of carving through even metal. Dodging out of the way, the MAKO3 launched another volley that shred more of the wings. A couple of more volleys and it wouldn't be able to sustain flight anymore. The MAKO3 launched its missiles, but they were all detonated prematurely by the bat's screech.
Before it would take another volley, the kaiju decided to use its superior speed to its advantage. Realizing too late, the MAKO3 let out its Ion Annihilator hoping for a lucky hit. The beam missed, but it shocked the kaiju long enough for the MAKO3 to prepare decoupling. Its head and back launched into the air and transformed into a jet. While not quite as fast, the jet was able to slow the bat kaiju down by forcing it to dodge the Tengu cannon shots. Suddenly, the bat made an instant turn in the air and headed straight for the jet. The jet's mouth opened and let out a blue Maser beam that chilled the air. It was a direct hit! Ice started to form on the kaiju's body, until it was unable to fly anymore. It crashed into the ground, shattering like a dropped glass.
The first true test of the MAKO3 had been a resounding success. Humanity will prevail.

Last year, when designing the original MechaOrcadire I wanted it to separate into 3 separate vehicles. Unfortunately, time was not on my side and I had to scrap the idea. This year I planned my time better, and finally got to realize the original idea.
