Any guesses as to what I used for the grunge/mouth?

i think what you did, was some form of photo manipulation, you took a face in one layer, masked it with another layer of a picture of wood with a hole in it, then another layer, where the picture is just of birch wood..
only, in far greater detail than i explained..
