Something Wrong with Nana
This week we helped move my uncle into an old folks home. He had mixed feelings about going. He knows he is too old to take care of himself, but he also feels that an old folks home is where people go to die. My family spent a lot of time trying to convince him it's not the case. After we got his room all set up we took him out to dinner. We came back to the home and were walking down the long corridor to his room when this young kid darted out of one of the rooms right in front of us. He looked petrified and was screaming "there's something wrong with Nana, there's something wrong with Nana!!"
Nana was dead.

I heard my Grandfather die. This is cool. The story's cool too. I was a kid, but understood my Grandmother was dying of cancer, It's one of the few things I can remember from them "Youngen' Days"....

I hear you. I was a fiendish drinker in High School. Now, my memory isn't that great (for things even before I was a lush) and my wife explained to me the specifics of how drinking (or any mind-altering substance) literally kills brain cells (I thought that was a figure of speech). She totally blames my old habits... oh well!

I love the fact that after the age of 21 (I think...) yer brain stops replenishing yer supply of brain cells, and it's a slow downhill road from that point...Any news of the business trip? If so, make Brisbane a definate visit, that's pretty close to where I am...I just looked at the Tom Green site, and I was surprised to find he's quite an intelligent, normal chap. (He has an online diary...) Oh, and do you have any way of recording stuff onto MP3 or wav? If so, break out some tunes and upload them into yer scraps, We'll create a beautiful rock ballard (Ummm...) Cool.

How far of a drive is it to Brisbane? If I'm there alone I'll probably have a rental car. I hope you guys drive on the correct side of the road or people will be all like "that fucking (good looking) American is all fucked up! But he's so damn good looking I guess that's ok." The last of the V-8 intercepters! Um, from where I live to Sydney, 'bout 10-12 hours, but I've travelled worse hours. It depends on which part of Sydney, it's a big place. Look up a place called the Gold Coast in an atlas. That's where I'm at. Oh, and we're playing our first show on Wednesday (Band) Wish us luck dude, my memories notorious fer forgettin' lyrics...Oh, and it's YOU guys who drive on the wrong side, hehehe...

Best of luck on yer show - post some pics in your scraps. I did mainly studio stuff - I really had no interest in live stuff. I was more interested in getting a good mix and playing with the controls! I would spend days keying in drum tracks and playing with the midi background. Though lead guitar is still my best skill... Took me hours to find a good sound and minutes to jam out a lead...
Hey I cleaned out my back room and my 8 track is staring at me from it's box... my shredding fingers are getting kinda itchy!!
