DB NEO: Special Page 2More from the Majin Ozotto battle. This page oozes Toriyama and then again it doesn't. I tried to add some Toriyama-esque "screw ups" throughout the page, but then Vegeta comes off looking like "she" belongs in another series. Makes you wonder how she'll change back, doesn't it? Find out when I get to writing that portion of the series.

On the subject of these specials, it'd be great for them to retain their own sort of continuity. Sort of a sub continuity where crazy funny things happen, and stay happened.

Nothing stays happened, everything is unhappenable...seriously though, it'd be too much work to try and work on NEO and make the stupid stuff I do have a continuity as well. I'm very likely to contradict previous gag events with a later joke strip, especially if its something I really want to do. lol

I'm not really a fan, but I think it works as a decent plot devices here.
Not everyone will change genders, Ozotto just has fun playing tricks
on people. Different people will experience different things. Vegeta
became a girl. Maybe Goku becomes fat? Gotenks might become lazy?
Perhaps Gohan can go blind? That isn't what is going to happen to them,
but the possibilities are endless... lol So I can find it sort of funny that
Vegeta is forced to become a woman while still acting in character.
Sounds weird seeing how I wrote the page, doesn't it? lol

I do have to admit though, I'd probably be more inclined to like an alternate universe where the characters were always switched instead of just changing the ones I've grown up with. Changing a characters gender automatically changes the character itself, because men and women are just wired differently. If the writer chooses to ignore that (even though that's what I'd prefer), then they're doing a bad job at writing. lol

True enough. Completely different from how I was planning on making Ozotto years ago, always thought of him as a ridiculously strong, hardcore villain. [not saying something is wrong with your interpretation of course, I'm just saying I though of something different]

That was kind of my original plan, as odd as he looks, the bulkiness kinda screams hardass. lol
But, since the only power he really showed off in DB V.R.V.S was the ability to "become" another member of Z Fighters for you to fight against, I decided that him being a trickster/wizard/thing was fitting. I mean he is a Majin per say, and Buu had some odd abilities. Anyway, he's still powerful, just not as strong as the villains before him.
I'm also tying him in with a previous loose end in the actual manga, and there are some twists and turns in the planned arc as well...but for now, I'm shutting up. lol
