You do realize that in Episode of Bardock this means he was the very first Super Saiyan

Time travel in Dragon Ball complicates things. Bardock got blasted back into the past, but he shouldn't have been sent to the main timelines past. Time travel just doesn't work that way in the series. That said Just because this Bardock was sent to the past, that also doesn't mean that another Bardock was sent to the past of the main timeline.

In short, he was A Super Saiyan of legend in at least a single universe, but not necessarily THE Super Saiyan of legend in every universe.

Main timeline Bardock gets sent into the past of another timeline, but Miira goes and brings him back to the main timeline, but he ends up in the far future. Then Miira makes it a habit to repeatedly send Bardock into the past to try and unravel it. Confused yet?

I contemplated that, because I'm not fond of the brown on Bardock. Just looks off. But, I decided to stick with the original scheme because he'll get the new armor while under Mirra's control, so he doesn't have a say in anything. Not out-ruling the idea of him getting a new green version after he breaks free though.

Well, unless DBO has a fairly long plot and he sticks around for most of it (if they ever finish it, dragging their heels), don't expect a sheet for it. I probably will give him one in the story though.

He just isn't the type of person to care about most of this type of stuff, so of course he wouldn't bother to elaborate on it.

Toriyama didn't create Episode of Bardock. Frankly, Bardock wasn't even his creation.

Yes he did, for the manga. For the anime adaptation he was simply the consultant for his apprentice who actually produced the short. And Bardock was also his creation as Bardock is also his favorite character. No idea where you got your facts.
