Bio:
The second son of Goku and Chi Chi and best friend of Trunks. He was raised while his father was dead, so his brother Gohan is the dominant male figure in his life. His initial training in the martial arts was carried out by his mother, who seemed to be trying to play the role of both parents. The bulk of his power was gained from constant sparring with Trunks, who is trained by one of the strongest fighters in the universe, Vegeta.
Notes:
Obviously, this is Goten around the Oob portion of the story. Some minor outfit changes, but nothing too drastic.
His SS2 form's hair is...not what I desired. I did the best with what I could, but the base and SS styles didn't make it easy.

Love the SSJ2 look. Goten was so under utilized! But then, there wasn't much after Buu, unless you count GT.
DB Super seems to just be another Goku-only wankfest, with some occasional Vegeta.

I personally like the SSJ2 look of Goten here. It closely resembles Goku's SSJ2 form. It's not an overly drastic change, but it's more than enough to know he's gonna kick the crap out of you lol. Nice work good sir.

I have always wondered something, how come goten and trunks cant go ssj3 while not fused? they should both know how to do it and have the ability to right?

I imagine it's the same reason why Gotenks had to train to unlock Super Saiyan when fusing in base, despite Goten and Trunks having the transformation themselves and being able to fuse as Super Saiyans into SS Gotenks. Even though Gotenks has it, the boys would still have to put in the work to unlock it individually, and since we don't really know what the conditions are to access it, they may not meet whatever they are yet.
It fits with recent material confirming that they're too focused on using Gotenks as their ace and neglect bettering themselves, even during the Champa Arc.

well... technically they DID put in the work to unlock super saiyan 3, granted they were fused when they did. the experience and knowledge would still be the same none the less, and i dont think they can go with the excuse "oh theyre too young" or "oh theyre just not strong enough" because remember they were the youngest to ever go super saiyan and that they managed to go to level 3 at the time shows they have become very capable even if they would have to work a little harder to hold that form.

No, Gotenks put in the time and effort. He's a fusion of Goten and Trunks, but still a separate being. The boys may have the knowledge, but their individual bodies don't have the actual application of that experience.

How is it the same body? The boys are "magically" combined into one that's a full head and half taller than either of the originals. When Gotenks is injured and defuses (in the manga), the boys remain perfectly healthy. And like previously mentioned, even though Goten and Trunks had SS, Gotenks had to train to unlock it. The only things that seem to transfer are memories.

It's not an exact 1:1 relationship. Biologically he will share some genes with his parts because they are the basis for his formation, but it's not like "this is a Goten cell and that's a Trunks cell, and they both get this much experience after going through that amount of effort" if you dissected him. Gotenks being made up of Goten and Trunks isn't that different than having a kid. The resulting being, while technically made up of the genes of two people, is also unique, separate individual...albeit through a magic, reversible dance, rather than reproduction.
