Description The characters as they were when I first saw them...and how I coloured them, before making with the cutting and pasting and resizing and moving around and general indecisiveness.

I made two little alterations on Jay Garrick because...I....uh....well because I was being a complete nerdy stickler!

Trial and error Lai. Trial and error.

It's common for me to lay down a colour and then put another colour next to it and not like it so go back and change it. And then I don't like how the new colour goes with the one next to it so I go change that too.

It can be an annoying and tiring process.

Maybe it's just your memories of it are in black and white so you're just not adjusted to seeing it in colour. Yeah...that's much more like it.

Really? If it were me...my first impression would've been "Jeez...this jackass is drawing in someone else's style in a vain attempt to get more attention."

The changes I made were only small so probably aren't that important. But I do need to correct some things...after it was pointed out where I went wrong.

I don't colour stuff more often because in my honest opinion I find my attempt at colouring to be lame. Worse than that even. I can only stomach to look at that lameness every so often.

I don't mean to laugh because I'm very disappointed that I screwed up on Bart...but I like that you insist I change it. That's the kind of nerdy dedication that makes me all warm and fuzzy. I was using Rebirth as a colour guide and he did have gold eyes in that...but it had all lightning coming off them so I thought that the gold was an effect of the speed force or something. 'Cause you know...I've never seen anyone with gold eyes before.

But enough of my excuses...I will make the modifications.

I didn't change Jay's boots because I thought they were wrong. It was just a personal choice. I like his floppy wingless boots. I wasn't gonna change it but I kept going back and forth on it and then thought "Bah...I've changed his pants...might as well do the boots too."

I can change those back too if you prefer.

Your lines ARE worthy! That's why I feel like a douche for not honouring them!

meh, you can leave jay as is, i don't mind it's right either way so my nitpicker sensors aren't going haywire but bart i'll defend to the death it's one reason why i generally dislike that he became kid flash... because now people doesn't see him as bart, just as "kid flash", which is why he gets coloured improperly a lot speaking of, it also occurs to me that i think his head wings are red i can't find any decent pics on the interwebs to reference because when you google it you get thousands of versions of the same two pics; one which is coloured improperly and the other that's covered in lightning but according to my TPBs and other swag, they should be red

I did something awesome today.

Now that you say it...maybe it was the whole "Kid Flash" thing that was interferring with my thought processes. That name probably just automatically brought up some kid Wally images from my vault and I felt satisfied in using them. I think that they probably made him Kid Flash to get the whole "family" tie going. NOT THAT I'M SAYING THERE WAS ANYTHING WRONG WITH IMPULSE!!! I-I-I-I'm just saying that to make it clear for the non-enlightened they probably wanted to make it more obvious that this speedster is linked to these other ones.

His wings are red? Hell...if you say their red then they're red. I would never demand proof when it comes to all things Bart. I wouldn't get mad either. Well...I would but I'd do it in that non-threatening egotistical pussy way that I do things.

Someone corrected me once, flying off the handle about it too. I didn't even do anything but draw a picture and they came at me with knives because "I know everything about this stuff and I hate it when people get it wrong!!!"

haha, no i totally understand; it was a natural progression for bart to become KH i just wish they'd done it differently. the circumstances were stupid they didn't have to completely rewrite his personality in order to put him in a different set of spandex

Well I've been a little surprised by how quickly and undramatically he and Superboy have returned. I mean...when they appeared there was that big splash money shot page but I don't know. It was just kinda...so casual.
