Description
Alex then turns back his attention towards Christopher and tries to imitate the man's posture. He soon get's up on his two legs and tries to stand as tall as him, and even tries to pretend that he is carrying a gun.
Christopher: What are you doing?
Professor: *excitedly* Look at him, you two. Moves like an animal but looks like anthro. He could be the missing link.
Suddenly an idea pops into Christopher’s head, prompting him to lean in close to the Professor.
Christopher: Or OUR link to the animals!
Professor: Ah, yes!
While Alex imitates his posture, Christopher clears his throat to try to speak to Alex.
Christopher: Where are the animals?
Alex doesn't know what Christopher is taking about, and while the jungle fox soon gets a little too close for comfort, Christopher snaps.
Christopher: ANIMALS!
Alex: *repeating Christopher’s words and loud tone* ANIMALS!
Lyndsey: Shouting won't help, Christopher. He doesn't understand English.
Christopher: Well then I'll make him understand. If I can teach a parrot to sing "God Save the Queen," I can certainly teach this savage a thing or two.
Going to the chalkboard, Christopher draws a crude picture of various wild animals.
Christopher: *pointing the pencil at the picture* Animals!
Alex looks at the canvas and grabs the pencil, and looks at it.
Alex: Animals!
Professor: *exitedly* I think he's got it!
Alex: Animals, animals, animals, animals!
As Alex repeats the new term, he climbs on top of the easel and begins to scribble across the canvas with his new toy, while he repeats the word ‘animals’ over and over.
Professor: *disappointedly* Oh, perhaps not.
Christopher: No, no, no, no! *grabs the pencil from Alex’s hands*
Alex: *grabbing the pencil back* No, no, no, no!
Alex repeats the phrase back to Christopher and suddenly the two begin a bitter argument, like an old married couple, only to suddenly be broken up when Lyndsey snatches the pencil.
Lyndsey: Christopher... I think I can take it from here.
