This sure must have been an amazing sight to see. Wonderful moment captured, another great action shot from you Dave. What I love is, capturing such a moment and freezing it, means we can stare at it for hours and look at all the structure and behaviour of the birds, I love looking at their wings and their legs - I love the legs and pose of the one on the right. Just brilliant and thank goodness for all of us you have been out shooting and also found the chance to submit some of your wonderful captures for us to view. Thank you.

Yes Carolyn it was a amazing moment and one i've longed to see and capture. it was a fantastic day. i was Buzzing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you see what i see in the shots, the natural mechanics and that split second
in time that reveals the energy and emotions involved in these fantastic natural moments the human eyes can't let us appreciate. i Must add these series of shots come off the back of a few weeks with the Macro
due to poor weather. and to go and see and photograph my feathered friends again has been a great.

Zarafa In reply to THEDOC4 [2007-06-18 10:58:39 +0000 UTC]

Oh Dave, I feel exactly what you say. I have not been out shooting at all, and it is killing me, I miss my feathered friends so much. I went to look for my kites yesterday and they were not to be found as some council dude in a tractor was mowing the grass in the vicinity. Macro can't beat birds, hey?! These are just the best shots, and. even if I never catch such moments, I do know precisely how you felt to be there and get 'em. You rock. You are seriously the best bird photographer in the world, and don't ever doubt it.

THEDOC4 In reply to Zarafa [2007-06-18 17:17:29 +0000 UTC]

Well no doubt you will have a great day again pretty soon i don't want to temp fate but you like me will come across something interesting and unusual, as i say to Sarah as i walk out!!!!!
you don't get if you don't go and i look forward to whatever moment you will capture. Macro is very interesting and technical i find, very rewarding, but for me personally the birds are my Number One
subjects, in a nutshell Spontanious Beauty there intelligence amazes me and the interaction that can be got im hooked on.

it happening and the challenges of photography to try and document as good as i can.

You're very welcome I always believe that we can still learn more from wildlife and that there are still a lot of things left to uncover about them, and it's always helpful to document their behavior or anything that may seem strange or new
