Description
My take on the Elder Things from Lovecraft's story "At the Mountain of Madness". This species was a lot harder to draw because it's so... freaky looking. At the same time it was a lot of fun to draw too!Related content

It does look different to most pictures of Elder Things. For one thing; it is in flight. That makes it stand out.
The wings are much larger than most artists draw them, the body is smaller and the mouthes on the head are an interesting touch.
It almost looks slightly dragon-like.
It's a refreshingly different image of Lovecraft's creation.

Not only that but they are clean and white too.

Yeah, I didn't want them too ugly and vicious. Because even though they are carnivorous in the story they don't seem to be like brutish creatures, they're actually super intelligent and the first race to ever be on planet earth. So I wanted to keep that look balanced.
