Description
Here's the finished muscle study of mammuthus primigenius, also known as the woolly mammoth. This was a fun challenge since i've never done a study on a proboscidea before and I always wondered how the muscles looked in the trunk. Muscles done in Prismacolor markers, white pen, and colored pencils. Labels done in Illustrator.Related Mammuthus Primigenius studies:

Awsome.
I once did a cartoon showing a caveman sitting at a bar ordering a drink. "I'll take a Wooly Vermouth," he tells the bartender. The bartender gives him a blank stare - the bartender is a wooly mammoth. (I know there's a Mastodon joke in there somewhere to be found, but haven't found it yet.)
