It's actually quite easy, he just doesn't want you to know his secrets:

First, you take your pencil, and you grab a piece of paper.

Then, you slowly lower the pencil down towards the paper.

Then you ram the pencil into your lower arm, draw a pentacle on the paper with your blood and literally sell your soul to the devil.

Et voila, you should now be able to draw. It could have the side effect of having to spend all of your afterlife in the firy depths of hell, though.
