I don't know about you, but this strikes me as over-the-top and stupid even by the standards of the 80s:Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNeZBCβ¦

Wow indeed. Seriously, Carbombya? That's about as subtle as naming another fictional country "Attackistan" and calling the capital city "Terrorahn" nowadays. Apparently an Arab actor quit the show, not that I can blame him-even without the offensive implications, let's face it, that pun is bad enough to make anyone quit in disgust.

Got it. On a different note, it seems like Call of Duty: Ghosts is by far the stupidest of the franchise plot-wise. Haven't seen a walkthrough from start to finish, but it just...well...seems poorly thought out at best, and it seems like Infinity Ward won't be making a sequel.

Infinite Warfare's more average storywise (only have watched videos), but it's entertaining enough.

Copy. Ethan's actually a pretty decent guy for a robot, and I did like how they didn't sugarcoat the cost of war (apparently only four people-Salter, Boats, the German hangar tech, and Brooks-made it back to Earth).

At least we got more out of Salen Kotch than we did out of Imran Zakhaev from COD4. BTW, Yahtzee's review of Infinite Warfare and Titanfall 2 got the first level of Infinite Warfare completely wrong, so I've kinda soured on him a lot. He actually makes SetDef/the SDF out to be the injured party, even though the research facility was a UNSA/SATO one and Kotch outright shot one of his own men before stating afterwards, "Care clouds judgement."

Roger. On a completely different note, apparently even Jack McCain, an active-duty Naval Aviator and one of John McCain's kids, gets salty about the F-35 on Twitter and makes jokes about how much it's cost America.

Yeah, even for a Senator's son, that must be a bit much to get away with. Granted, the F-35 is the butt of some many jokes, it isn't even funny.

How did you feel about Castro kicking the bucket? I didn't celebrate, but I couldn't muster up any sympathy at all, so I wasn't sad to see him go.

Fidel Castro I don't like him. He's like Batista 2.0 mainly because Fidel shifted all wealth to people who have ties to the government. Batista had ties to criminal organizations and gave wealth to the power wealthy Cubans and to the criminal organizations. When Fidel came to power he gave all that wealth to people link to the government

Yeah. The Cold War for Latin America seems to have consisted of proxy struggles and fighting between American and Soviet-backed factions.

Yep. Because of the proxy wars in Latin America done by the USSR and the US, they fucked up the Latin American countries

Yeah, he even used it as a dig against people complaining about the Russians on Twitter. I don't trust Putin as far as I can throw him, but it's literally xenophobia given how people aren't making an effort to distinguish the Russian government from Russians in general.

Alpha-12 In reply to ghostraptor1917 [2017-07-19 02:27:36 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, there are actually plenty of Russians who are anti-Putin and pro-freedom-unfortunately, they're in the minority in their country, but that doesn't change the fact that there are Russians who aren't onboard with the Kremlin's policies.

Yeah, even if Putin wasn't involved with those deaths at all, he doubtlessly took advantage of them to put more lackeys into the Russian government.

Yup. He's also an ex-KGB Lieutenant Colonel, meaning he's not some random bureaucrat that got lucky. Given how, since HW, we've had Clinton, W, Obama, and Trump, it's no surprise Putin shows no signs of stopping. He's not what your average Western politician's used to dealing with.

Indeed. Putin's legitimately dangerous, so anyone who thinks he'll be easily "put in his place" or some BS is delusional.
