LIZARD MAN
(AKA: Swamp Monster, Letiche, Loup Carou, Inzignanin.)

For years, Americans have been reporting sightings of mysterious large, bipedal creatures with sharp claws, and glowing eyes from the swamps of the southern United States. On June 29th 1988 in South Carolina, 17 year old Christopher Davis reported being attacked by a "lizard man" near Scape Ore swamp, and Louisiana residents tell tales of the "Honey Island Swamp Monster", a creature with glowing green eyes that leaves 3 or 4-toed tracks.
Similar creatures also appear in the folklore of the Native Americans under such names as "letiche", and the Natives of the Carolinas used to talk about a race of lizard or fish men who they called the "Inzignanin".
What these creatures are is a matter of debate. Witnesses often describe them as having a scaly skin texture, which suggests a reptilian nature, but the humanoid body shape, and the presence of hair has led some cryptozoologists to suggest a species of unusual aquatic primate.

Size: 5 - 7 ft tall. 400 lbs.
