If this looks fimilar, it should. I always liked the scene in the opening of WHR where Robin is playfully trying to balance herself on the side of the street as she walks along it. I've always thought that this displayed her innocence despite her given profession. Its one of those short-lived situations where you get to see her relaxed and unbothered by who and what she is, and what she's called to do.She has her suitcase in the opening, which implies that she's waiting for an STN-J escort to pick her up and drop her off at STN-J headquarters. The scene implies that she's recently arrived in Japan (from Italy), which is how the first episode starts, with her arriving at STN-J
I used a screen capture as a reference for this.

They're supposed to be. I'm not sure if you've seen this series or not, but part of the nuance is that the colors and shadows aren't sharp and contrasting. If you've ever watched the X-Files, its sort of like that. The lighting treatment is very specific and has it's own mood.

ooohhhh!! Witch hunter Robin a definately great series, yeah Robin was always pretty gloomy but then again the whole series has a dark atmosphere most of the time.
I really do adore the colouing method you've done for this picture, it almost simulates real watercolours, it does really give it a nice traditional feel.
Great job, it looks really lovely, the expression she has is grand.

Yeah, it is a good, classic series. The lighting treatement and the shadows, and the shadowy aspect of everything reminds me of the X-Files. If you've ever seen that show, you'll know what I mean. Its very similar, and so is the pace of an episode.

I'd say about 10 hours, alltogether, not including the time off and days I wasn't working on it. Thats actually pretty quick for a hi-res picture like this. But, I'm getting used to it.

The clouds are actually pretty easy to do. Its really just about putting color on top of color and then blending it.
