Description Alright. I finally got to work on this thing. I'm amazed I finished sooner than expected. I thought it would have taken me longer but amazingly it took me only a couple of hours.

This is a collab between me and Xtasy: [link]
This was the first time working together and I'd like to say that it was smooth sailing
all the way.

He did the render of the boxes and I did the rest.
I hope you enjoy this the same way I do.

It\'s hard for me to critique this, because you\'re workin on a more basic level than I\'m used to.

The Good:
1) Composition is decent. Object in right spot, 2D in right spot.
2) Colours are complimentary

The Bad:
1) There just nothing here. Like it\'s basic stuff, and it looks it.
2) It says nothing, I can draw nothing from it.

Overall, I think you need to consider what you\'re trying to do. I don;t know what your objective with this piece was, and I should be able to make a guess just by looking at it...

very impressive i just have a couple of technical questions..
can i?

1st which software did you use on this piece?
2nd using that software, which tool did you use to create the "tiny tech detail" such as small logos and stuff

i like the blurry bakground.

Photoshop was used thru the whole process. The boxes are photoshop as well.
As for the tiny detail, I used the shape tools and pen tools to create the 2d work.

Glad you liked it.

mmm gorgeous work. +fav for starters.
the entire piece has a frickin deliciously subtle texture over it... i cant say ive seen much of this kinda smooth texture work... and if i have then its only been in professional graphics ie:nike or the like. the 2D work fits the piece... which is the best thing i can say for it... its often difficult to work such nice 2D into a piece and still have it be visually consistent and this hits that nail on the head. im sure that interface-ish work at the bottom looks fantastic in print to form a base for the entire piece. mmmm this is great. keep up the superb work.. u two obviously work very well together.

Yea, the render must have made it hard for the 2d, considering it's block-like structure.
