The Armed Forces of the Second USSR (Вооружённые силы ВСССР) were founded during the 2nd Russian Civil War as a means to combat opposition to the Soviets. It originally was known as the Second Red Army (Вторая Красная армия) during said Civil War, and was not established as the official second army until the Treaty of Reunification was signed in 2042. The flag is a fairly simple adaptation based on the Second USSR's original flag, moving over the communist symbols on the flag to a plain red background. The military decided that a flag uniting all the peoples of the USSR under one banner in times of conflict was a better idea than to use the standard Second Soviet flag. The Armed Forces has full jurisdiction over all of its branches, including the old Strategic Missile Troops, which was merged into the army. Thus, the army technically has control over the Second USSR's nukes, but they can not be launched unless the government grants permission to.
