Description
The Ibex by AM General and partnered with Freedom Motors (Free State automotive company comprised of Ford and Chevy parts) was high on mobility and light on armor in its first form. As such an up armor package was developed by Ryan Aerospace. This armor would be a series of carbon fiber plates over crystal silicate materials later patented and used heavily by the ECF. Thanks to the light weight the ibex lost nearly none of its mobility. The first generation Ibex with its flex fuel engine was so popular in fact the Saudi Arabian UN peacekeepers would steal them to use over their own LAVs. Police units in occupied Blue states would make heavy use of unarmed and armed Ibexes as patrol vehicles.
