Description Creating A Digital Feather

I've had several requests as to how I create the feathers for my wings, thus this tutorial is born, I hope that you find it useful and easy to follow.

I created the feather shown in this image in photoshop CS5.

This feather can be created using either a mouse or a tablet, though it may take longer to create using a mouse than using a tablet.

Note: This is not supposed to look like a real bird feather.

If you prefer a sharper look, use the burn tools set on a hard setting rather than a soft one and don't smooth the end result.

It's a good feather in theory . . . but people might think this is the kind of feather to stick on birds or angels or anything flighted. A feather used for flying doesn't look like that at ALL.

But other than that, it's a neat tutorial. I'd use it.

It is a feather that one may use as they see fit upon creating one; And since when is Fantasy ever completely practical?

Wow, that's very inspirational I love your wings. I can see GREAT improvement in your wings.
I do plan on making more angels for my Devil's Collector's characters. When I do, I will use some of you're wings
