Yeah.. I think that that's a good reason which explains why we don't annoy night furies.To be serious, I'm working on the fire rigging, light effects, etc... I still need to fix some stuff (lighting, etc), but this plasma looks not bad in my opinion !
What do you think?
EDIT : I listened to all the tips I had from you guys, Here's how it is now! I hope you find it better!
2nd Edit : More like plasma maybe? I really don't know if I will keep this
3rd Edit : Added MOAR color ^^ I kinda like this one. I have to fix the electric arc (there's some kind of wire inside the particles), although I like the colors, and you?

As I say in 90% of my descriptions, and even sometimes on the picture itself, I am using Autodesk Maya.

Did you make the fire,plasma?(did dreamworks define it?) in maya? I've used lightning fx but not that much,just wanted to know how well this worked

I've been playing with the particles and light effects to get that. Everything on that dragon was made with Maya (excepted the textures of course), and there is no postwork on my images (excepted for "It's a good day to sleep").

It looks now very close to plasma. Only at the beginning (mouth of the NF) it looks strange.

Mmh.. Are you sure that your screen is correctly adjusted ? because, yeah.. It is like you say, and I'm sure that my screens are adjusted ^^
Here, on my screens, the "flame" is purple/blue. Because yeah you're right! Toothy's shots are a little bit blue, with the plasma color too!
