Think you can do a triple-headed eagle? It's not really seen that much. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple-h…

I already tried that once, and it looked like shit. I don't think I'll try again, sorry :/

Did the third head look too awkward?

Yeah, the positioning of that third "middle" head is kind of a nightmare. You have to make their necks realy long so they don't clash with the wings and then they just looked like strange giraffe-eagle-hybrids ._.

Looking at the illustrations, their necks really do look very long.

Thank you very much. It's very kind of you.But I may not post it on my gallery, as I don'T have the special app for creating CoA,I have to create it mostly on Photoshop and Powerpoint. Therefore, they are yery humble and rough.

Have you considered also doing a tri-headed eagle? Not necessarily using the German Imperial Eagle, just in general, something to denote a European state (Empire) spanning from the Azores to the Urals (without the Napoleonic cliches). As part of a coat of arms, or not.

You know, it has just occurred to me to wonder if this double-headed eagle is the product of serious inbreeding entirely proper to the mascot of a Royal Lineage ... (also that this may be just a TRIFLE unkind to the Aristocracy, but mischief is mischief!).

If generations of inbreeding result in a specimen having two fully functional heads ... I think more people would be doing it

I wasn't worried about a virus so much as the sort of image that requires Imperial Gallons of brain bleach to wash away from the deepest, darkest corners of my memory!

No. The Albanians use a double-headed eagle as well, but it's been a symbol of the Holy Roman Empire for way longer, at least since the 12th century.

The Byzantines came up with the double-headed eagle. The base idea was the Aquila of the Roman Empire, and under the Palailogos dynasty in Byzantium it gained another head, one symbolizing the religious authority of the Emperor, the other one the worldy authority. And in Germany the eagle was used to show the translatio imperii, the idea that the Holy Roman Emperors were the legitimate heirs of the Roman Emperors of old.
And during the Spring of Nations the double-headed eagle became a symbol of the Greater German solution, where one head represented Germany, the other one Austria.
